ABOUT ME
Peppy is a three year old small dog who is currently in the UK. We came across her initially when she was in a pound in the north of Spain. She was so small amongst so many other big and scary dogs.
She came to the UK on adoption but sadly it has not worked out and she has now been given back to the charity for adoption.
Peppy is cute as a button and a really funny dog. She has the most amazing eyes that look at you with a lot of intensity. She loves her time on the sofa and her time outside in equal measure.
When in the park she is as fast as a greyhound and is a joy seeing her fly through the fields. She is really full of energy and really enjoys her time running and jumping and above all playin with all the dogs she encounters in the park. After one of her playing sessions both her and the other dog leave panting, tired and very satisfied.
Peppy is however a bit of an anxious dog and will be happy when she is with you and does not like to be left alone as she has separation anxiety, so any adopter will need to be aware of this and with our support work to help her get over this.
Her bark is as loud as she is small. She barks to warn you someone is at the door or a there is a sound she does not recognize or to tell someone to go away. It is important to understand that her bark is very loud and acute, so she will not be suitable for flats or homes with neighbors sensitive to noise. We can show you how to teach a quiet so she will not bark when you say so. There is a protocol for this.
She is reactive on the lead to bikes and bicycles so this is of most urgency to work on and we will also teach you how to do this.
Overall Peppy is a wonderful dog that will bring such joy and love to your life. However if you are a first time adopter and never had a dog, live in a flat or busy area or work all day, she will not be the dog for you.
If you have had experience with dogs, have time in your hands and can make her the center of your life, are happy to work with our support to help her relax, then you will not have a better dog than Peppy. Everything you give her she will return back in spades. She will be an ideal second dog. She will love playing with other dog at home.
